Epping town councillors joined the Epping in Bloom group for the planting of Tower Road Green. The area by the town sign at the Tower Road-High Road junction now features five raised flower beds and troughs with the raised beds designed by local schools. Entries from Epping Primary School, Coopersale and Theydon Garnon Primary School, Coopersale Hall School, Ivy Chimneys Primary School and Epping St John's School were judged by the Epping In Bloom group, which includes members of Epping Horticultural Society and representatives from the town council. The group under chairman Victoria Robertson has secured £2,000 from Epping Town Council to help them bring floral colour to the town. Epping mayor Michael Wright and deputy mayor Les Burrows were among those turning out on Sunday morning for the planting session. Chairman Victoria Robertson said: "It was so wonderful to see my vision and design idea for the Tower Road green all come together with the help and support of the local school children and volunteers."
