Continental Market visits Epping
On Saturday 12th July, the Town continued the french theme from Monday's visit of the Tour de France by welcoming a french market to the High Street. The market featured specialist cheese stalls, deli foods, jewellery and accessoriesas well as delicious food to take-away. Town Mayor Barbara Scruton and local MP Eleanor Laing both tried their hands at making crepes with varying degrees of success!
Ms Scruton said "We're delighted to be able to bring some french flavours into the town, particularly at the end of a week where we have embraced the Tour de France. "
There were some hiccups wih the event, unfortunately the patisserie stall holder missed their ferry from France, however the Town Council are already in talks with the market organisers about repeating the event next year.
