Epping art brightens up empty shop

The Town Council was delighted to be able to bring local art to the High Street and at the same time clean up an empty shop that was an eyesore. The former West End Furniture shop in Epping High Street was looking uncared for and sorry for itself with whitewashed windows and fly posting on the glass.

The Town Council contacted owners Mezesphere, who will be opening a turkish restaurant in the premises later in the year, who were only too happy to turn the unit over to the Town Council to brighten it up. With only a few days to go before the Tour de France, the Town Council conatcted Epping Art Society who were able at very short notice to mount a mini exhibition in the shop windows.

The display looks lovely and brings some real interest into a shop front that was looking tatty. The Town Council has been told that it can put other displays in the window space until the redevelopment of the unit begins, so if you are a local group that could put an eyecatching display into this space please Contact Us and tell us about it.
